Have you ever wanted to learn how to code? You’re not alone. Coding skills are in high demand in today’s tech-driven world. There are many opportunities for those who know how to code, from software development and data analysis to app design and even entrepreneurship. Computer programmers, or coders, create software by writing programming code.
Coding is a great skill that can lead to a number of career options, but it can be challenging for beginners. If you’re curious about coding and whether it is something you might like as a hobby or a potential job option, you should learn the basics of programming languages such as Python.
During this class, you'll get an introduction to all things Python. We'll explore graphics, variables, conditions, loops, lists, and functions. You'll also learn how to use an integrated development environment (IDE) to write well-designed code.
We love that Python is one of the most widely used programming languages in the world today—and we want as many young people to be able to take advantage of that fact as possible! That's why we're offering this program at no cost for 150 participants between the ages of 13 and 18. The best part? You'll finish the class with a final website project that you can include in your portfolio or even college or scholarship applications.
